Botanical Overview

Stinktree (Ailanthus altissima) is a flowering plant in the Simaroubaceae family. The quassia family (Simaroubaceae) includes trees and shrubs with bitter bark, compound leaves, and small, unisexual flowers. The fruits are typically drupes or samaras.
