Classification systems
In the United States, there are two related ICD classifications of diseases with similar titles: ICD and ICD-CM. A third classification, ICF, is related to functioning and disability.

* The International Classification of Diseases, Clinical Modification ([ICD-CM](</nchs/icd/icd-10-cm/index.html>)) is a standardized system used to code diseases and medical conditions (morbidity) data.
* The International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health ([ICF](</nchs/icd/icf/index.html>)) provides standardized information on how disability, health, and environment affect a person's ability to function.

USACC also is responsible for the WHO Family of International Classifications, including ICF, in the United States.
